[Fix] Outlook won't start and say: You'll need the latest version of Outlook to use this database.

Issue: Outlook won't start in MacOS with a message saying you need the latest version of Outlook to use this database.


To fix the issue, please follow the steps below.

Solution: Create a new profile, set it as your default\main profile and reconnect to you Exchange email account.

1. Quit Outlook application.

2. Go to ‘Applications’ > right click on Outlook app > Then click on ‘Show Package Contents’ .

3. Expand ‘Contents > click on SharedSupport > Open ‘Outlook Profile Manager.app.

4.Click on ‘+’ sign to create new profile > After naming your profile Click the 'gear' icon and set the newly created profile as the default profile.

5. Open outlook.
