HOW TO – DESKTOP APPLICATION
To access all features: How to use GoToConnect desktop
To make a call:
- Click on the
and search for a contact's name, extension, or type in 10-digit number
- Select the CALL button
Transfer a call:
- While on an active call, click Transfer.
- Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
- Select the transfer destination and then choose your transfer type:
- Direct Transfer: Transfer the call to another party without speaking to them first.
- Warm Transfer: Place the current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.
- Send to Voicemail: Transfer the call directly to a voicemail box on your system.
Park a call:
Note: To view call parking spots, go to
> Settings > Display parked call spots.
- While on an active call, click Park.
- In the new window, select the call parking spot you’d like to use or type a custom parking spot (any number of digits, but it cannot start with 0) and then click Park Call. If you park a call to an occupied spot, the call will be transferred back to you.
- To answer a call parked in spots 1-5, right-click the spot number in the left sidebar and then click Call *37x. To answer a call parked in spots 6 and over, dial *37 + custom parking spot number.
Note: Parked calls will remain on hold until someone answers them or Call Parking Timeout lapses (the call is then routed back to the original person who parked the call).
3-way call:
- While on an active call, click Add.
- Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
- Select the second party and then click Call.
- Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
- Click Merge Now.
Call Flip:
- While on an active call on another device, open GoToConnect desktop or web.
- Hover over Your active call on another device in the left sidebar and then click
to complete the switch to the desktop app.
- The call will be automatically ended on the original device. This change will be transparent to the other party.
Check Voicemail:
- Click
in the left sidebar.
- Hover over a voicemail message for options.
From Desk Phone*
- Dial *98 from your desk phone or GoToConnect.
- Enter the extension.
- Dial your password (default 0000). Download your Voicemail Menu Guide.
From Remote Phone*
- Call your office extension.
- Press * when you hear the voicemail greeting begin.
- Dial your password (default 0000). Download your Voicemail Menu Guide.
HOW TO – MOBILE APPLICATION

To make a call:
- Click on the
and search for a contact's name, extension, or type in 10-digit number
- Select the CALL button

Note:
- A system admin must enable this feature on your user profile and each shared device.
- You can presence monitor a designated call parking spot to see when a call is waiting for you.
- This feature is supported on Cisco MPP, Polycom, and Yealink only.
Park in a user-assigned spot
- Blind transfer to *37 + parking spot number (any number of digits, but it cannot start with 0). For example, to park a call in spot 1, blind transfer the call to *371.
Note:
- If you blind transfer a call to an occupied spot, the call will be transferred back to your phone.
- Some phones do not support a blind transfer. See your phone’s guide for more information.
Park in a system-assigned spot
- Warm transfer to *37 (do not transfer the call before the system tells you where the call is parked).
- The system will notify you where the call is parked.
- Complete the transfer.
Answer a parked call
- Dial *37 + parking spot number.
Note: Parked calls will remain on hold until someone answers them or Call Parking Timeout lapses (the call is then routed back to the original person who parked the call).
3-Way call:
Watch Video
- While on an active call, tap Add.
- Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
- Select the second party and then tap Call.
- Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
- Tap Merge and then tap Confirm Merge.
Call Flip:
- While on an active call on another device, open GoToConnect mobile.
- Tap Active call at the top of your screen.
- Tap Take the call to complete the switch to the mobile app.
Check Voicemail:

(play icon) to listen to a voicemail. Tap a voicemail entry for additional options.
