HOW TO – DESKTOP APPLICATION

To make a call:

  1. Click on the  and search for a contact's name, extension, or type in 10-digit number
  2. Select the CALL button


Transfer a call: 

  1. While on an active call, click Transfer.
  2. Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
  3. Select the transfer destination and then choose your transfer type:
  1. Direct Transfer: Transfer the call to another party without speaking to them first.
  2. Warm Transfer: Place the current call on hold and speak with the destination party before transferring the call.
  3. Send to Voicemail: Transfer the call directly to a voicemail box on your system.


Park a call:

Note: To view call parking spots, go to SettingsDisplay parked call spots.

  1. While on an active call, click Park.
  2. In the new window, select the call parking spot you’d like to use or type a custom parking spot (any number of digits, but it cannot start with 0) and then click Park Call. If you park a call to an occupied spot, the call will be transferred back to you.
  3. To answer a call parked in spots 1-5, right-click the spot number in the left sidebar and then click Call *37x. To answer a call parked in spots 6 and over, dial *37 + custom parking spot number.

Note: Parked calls will remain on hold until someone answers them or Call Parking Timeout lapses (the call is then routed back to the original person who parked the call).


3-way call:

  1. While on an active call, click Add.
  2. Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
  3. Select the second party and then click Call.
  4. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  5. Click Merge Now.


Call Flip:

  1. While on an active call on another device, open GoToConnect desktop or web.
  2. Hover over Your active call on another device in the left sidebar and then click  to complete the switch to the desktop app.
  3. The call will be automatically ended on the original device. This change will be transparent to the other party.


Check Voicemail:

  1. Click  in the left sidebar.
  2. Hover over a voicemail message for options.

From Desk Phone*

  1. Dial *98 from your desk phone or GoToConnect.
  2. Enter the extension.
  3. Dial your password (default 0000). Download your Voicemail Menu Guide.

From Remote Phone*

  1. Call your office extension.
  2. Press * when you hear the voicemail greeting begin.
  3. Dial your password (default 0000). Download your Voicemail Menu Guide.

To make a call:

  1. Click on the  and search for a contact's name, extension, or type in 10-digit number
  2. Select the CALL button


Transfer a call:

Note:

  1. A system admin must enable this feature on your user profile and each shared device.
  2. You can presence monitor a designated call parking spot to see when a call is waiting for you.
  3. This feature is supported on Cisco MPP, Polycom, and Yealink only.

Park in a user-assigned spot

  1. Blind transfer to *37 + parking spot number (any number of digits, but it cannot start with 0). For example, to park a call in spot 1, blind transfer the call to *371.

Note:

  1. If you blind transfer a call to an occupied spot, the call will be transferred back to your phone.
  2. Some phones do not support a blind transfer. See your phone’s guide for more information.

Park in a system-assigned spot

  1. Warm transfer to *37 (do not transfer the call before the system tells you where the call is parked).
  2. The system will notify you where the call is parked.
  3. Complete the transfer.

Answer a parked call

  1. Dial *37 + parking spot number.

Note: Parked calls will remain on hold until someone answers them or Call Parking Timeout lapses (the call is then routed back to the original person who parked the call).


3-Way call:

  1. While on an active call, tap Add.
  2. Search for a contact's name, extension, or number.
  3. Select the second party and then tap Call.
  4. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.
  5. Tap Merge and then tap Confirm Merge.


Call Flip:

  1. While on an active call on another device, open GoToConnect mobile.
  2. Tap Active call at the top of your screen.
  3. Tap Take the call to complete the switch to the mobile app.


Check Voicemail:

Watch Video

  1. Tap .
  2. Tap Voicemails
  3. Tap  (play icon) to listen to a voicemail. Tap a voicemail entry for additional options.
