We are getting multiple reports on an email spoofing and phishing attacks attempting to trick both our staffs  and their external contacts on thinking the emails were genuine email sent by a Dahua employees’ email address or their external contacts. These email messages urge the receiver to click on a link in the message body which lead to a virus infected file or the email itself includes an infected attachment.

If you received any of these emails look similar to the one screenshotted below, please report it immediate to DNA IT Help Desk. Someone from the DNA IT help desk will contact you to obtain a copy of the spoofing email from you system for further investigation and check your system for possible virus infection. If you clicked any links from an spoofing email and\or provided personal or work related login information, please change your password immediate and report the incident the DNA IT Help Desk as soon as possible.

What to Do if Your Account May Be Compromised

If you suspect any one of  your Dahua accounts(email, Skype, Vpn, other portals)  has been compromised or stolen:

1.      Change your Dahua domain account password at  https://chpw.dahuatech.com/default/en . Choose a strong password and make it unique to that account. Do not use the same password for multiple accounts that puts all your accounts at risk if one is compromised and don’t save the password on your computer or bowers.

2.      Report the incident to DNA IT Help Desk by sending an email to itsupport.usa@dahuatech.com or create one from the IT Help Center with the title Compromised Account.

Report It:

·         If you think that someone else's account might be compromised or you receive any suspicious email, report it to DNA IT Help Desk.

Monitor for Suspicious Activity

  1. Check your personal Dahua email account and any shared email account that you have access to for suspicious activity. Make screen shots showing any settings that have been tampered with to include in your report of the incident.
  2. Check the Trash and Sent mail folders for messages you didn’t send or delete.
  3. In your Email Rules, review all the rules and delete those you don’t recognize or no longer apply.
  4. Check your other Dahua IT services(skype, emails or other Dahua provided IT resources)  for suspicious activity. For example, look for files in your file storage space that you did not put there.
