Adding Phone Number to Your Skype for Business Contact Card

If you wish to set up or change settings for any phone numbers you plan to use with Skype for Business, you can set it up in the  Skype for Business Options  menu.

Add or change a phone number 

IMPORTANT: If you want to change your phone number but can't because it's grayed out, contact IT Support and us to grant you the permissions to change your work phone number.

1. At the top of the Skype for Business main window, click the arrow next to the  Options  button   and select  Tools > Options .
   

   
   

2. In the  Options  menu, select  Phones .
   

   
   

3. Click the box for the type of number you want to add or change, and enter the number.  
   

   
   
   

   Make sure you adding the international numbers! For US and Canada, please input +1 then follow by  the area code and local number.  Example, +19498722612. 
   

   
   

4. To make this number visible to contacts, select the  Include in my contact card  check box next to the number.
   

Who can see my phone numbers?

Your phone numbers show up on your contact card and are visible to your Skype for Business contacts based on the privacy relationship they have with you. Your number will be visible as follows:

• Work Phone  is visible to all contacts except your External Contacts and Blocked Contacts. 

• Mobile Phone  is visible to internal staffs or those that can connect you via your Dahua's Skype account.
  

Note:  To see which of your contacts have each of these relationships with you, in your Contacts list, select the  Relationship  tab. Contacts are grouped there by privacy relationship. To change the relationship you have with a contact, right-click the contact listing, and then click  Change Privacy Relationship .
